The Wappingers Historical Society was formed in 1967. Its Officers and Board Members are all volunteers and receive no compensation for their work. The Officers and Trustees are elected by the members of the Society, with all Board Members serving two year terms. The Wappingers Historical Society is a proud recipient of the Hudson Valley Magazine’s “Best of the Hudson Valley” award for “Best Historical Society” in 2018.  In addition to working to preserve the history of the Wappingers area, the Society is the custodian of the historic Mesier Homestead in the Village of Wappingers Falls. We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible.
