About the event

Kids, bring your family to this fun, family-oriented program!

At this family event you’ll discover the history of Sinterklaas and the holiday traditions that the early Dutch settlers brought with them to New Netherland.  You'll discover how Sinterklaasavond (St. Nicholas eve) is celebrated in the home,  share in a holiday story,  and taste some of the traditional Dutch sweets which are part of the festivities. There may even be a surprise visit by a special guest!

The program will take place at 1:00pm, 2:15pm and 3:30pm is designed especially for elementary school aged children and accompanying adults.  Due to limited space, advanced ticket purchase is strongly recommended.   When you purchase your tickets, you'll be asked for child's first name and age so that we can be fully ready to make this a thoroughly fun and festive event.
